Split between New-York and Chicago, Sprits Having Fun are about to follow up their 2019 debut album Auto-Portrait with a new album Two, which the band describes as ‘kinetic compositions, equally studied but palpably organic’. From the forthcoming record, the gang share the first single ‘Hold The Phone’, which has a poppier, more grid-like sound than their previous songs. ‘Hold The Phone’ sees guitar and bass chug along with offbeat punches whilst lead guitar follows the rambling vocal line. The unusual timing in the song give a whisper to prog-rock, but the singer’s voice is soft and even has a shoe-gaze feel.
